The Justice and Development Party (Ak Party) Closure Case and Reflections II, May 2008

2008-05-26 Main goals of this research are; To determine opinions of public about: (a) the political and social process which started on March 14, 2008 with demand of Supreme Court of Appeals Chief Prosecutor to close AKP and bring political ban to Prime Minister and some party members, and (b) the important events happened in the last few months. As part of this goal, those subjects such as changing attitude of Turkish society to closure case of AKP, political attitude they will have after possible closure and perception of threat about secularism for AKP were examined. Also topics relevant to agenda such as, May Day events, EU membership of Turkey and political actors are all researched. Lastly, we tried to measure political parties’ current vote potentials.
