The main focus of the July 2026 edition of Turkey’s Pulse is public opinion on Türkiye’s position in foreign policy and international relations.

Within this framework, we examine the impact of the NATO Summit on Türkiye’s international standing, President Erdogan’s international image, and public support for the government. We also explore public perceptions of Türkiye’s role in NATO, attitudes toward defense spending, and perceptions of friendly and hostile countries. The report also examines Türkiye–Israel relations, the country’s foreign policy orientation between East and West, and the relationship between President Erdogan and Donald Trump.

This month, we also focus on the Yeni Party scenario that has emerged following the leadership debate within the CHP. We assess the electoral potential of a party founded by Özgür Özel and Ekrem Imamoglu, the support it could attract from existing parties, and its potential impact on the political balance.

The report further examines the recent detentions and arrests that have shaped the political agenda, the impact of the investigation into the Ahbap Association on public trust in civil society, the factors influencing voters’ trust in politicians, and the public’s emotional responses to current political developments.

As always, the report also presents public assessments of the direction of Türkiye and the economy, together with leaders’ job approval ratings and politicians’ favorability ratings.
